I have been hearing many people talk about drinking warm lemon water in the morning so I decided to do a little research. I was surprised by my findings and the many benefits that drinking warm lemon water possesses. Here are a few…

1- Stimulates digestive system. TMI coming 🙂 Lemon is a natural laxative and you will find that after several mornings or possibly even after one morning your digestive track will wake up. Don’t worry…you won’t have to run to the bathroom but you will become more regular. The lemon will also help with detoxifying your liver.

2- Cleansing Agent. Water infused with lemon contains citric acid which can clean out calcium stones and prevent build up in the arteries.

3- Increase hydration. We all know that water is the best way for our bodies to be hydrated however many people just don’t care for the taste. By adding lemon to your water, it will add a little flavor and help it go down the pipe a lot easier

4 -Improve skin. Lemons are a great source of vitamin C which improves the look, hydration and texture in your skin. T

5 – Help make your body more alkaline. Despite the fact that lemons may seem acidic they are actually very alkaline when they are digested in our body. Drinking lemon water will help increase the alkalinity of our body, a key goal in decreasing inflammation and preventing disease.

6- Help with weight loss. The water helping with hydration and the lemon containing fiber will help you fill up quicker and longer.
